Natural or hard vocal tuning
Vocal tuning, or pitch correction, moves each note toward the song's key. With Auto-Tune, the retune speed decides the sound: slower and the voice stays natural, faster and you hear the stepped effect that melodic rap often wants on purpose.
Tuning needs the right key and scale, clean takes, and a decision about each part: the lead, doubles, adlibs and harmonies may not want the same setting.

Is tuning included in a vocal mix?
Yes. Every vocal mix includes cleanup and tuning.
Can I get tuning only?
Yes, by quote. Tell us how many vocal tracks and songs you have.
Is Auto-Tune the same as pitch correction?
Auto-Tune is one tool for pitch correction. Set slow, it corrects quietly. Set fast, it becomes the hard, stepped sound.
Will tuning make my vocals sound robotic?
Only if you want it to. Natural or hard is a choice, made part by part.
Do you need to know the key of my song?
It helps. If you do not know it, we find it from the beat.
Can you tune vocals that already have Auto-Tune printed?
Printed tuning cannot be fully undone, so dry takes give the best result. Send what you have and say what is printed. The quote says what is possible.
How do I pay?
A 50% deposit is invoiced to start the job. The balance is due before the full-quality files are sent. If you cancel after paying the deposit, it is not refunded.
Where are you based?
Static City Studios is based in Apollo Beach, Florida. Mixing is done remotely, so artists anywhere can work with Static City Studios.
